Abstract:
Background: Labial agglutination I a rare condition affecting the female perineum resulting in partial occlusion of the vestibule with a lot of unpleasant experiences.
Methodology: This was a case report and literature review
Aim: To report a case of labial agglutination arising from FGM and review the relevant literature
Result: The result was a case of a case of a 24-year old primigravida who had FGM which resulted in labial adhesion presenting a challenging situation during monitoring of labour.
Conclusion: Labial adhesions arising from FGM can create a troublesome situation affecting normal sexual intercourse and monitoring of labour in women of child-bearing age
